Disaster Recovery Design
Nearly every company in every industry depends on some form of computerized information systems, electronic data, and electronic commerce for critical business functions. But for companies unprotected by an up-to-date Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) plan, a dependency on this technology also creates a dangerous liability.
Why risk it? Effective disaster recovery plans don’t necessarily require costly new equipment or technology. They just need sound planning around business needs, sufficient resources, and regular testing and updating.
That’s why Advanced Systems Group (ASG) offers Disaster Recovery Design services. After you’ve had a Disaster Recovery Audit, our engineers can design, implement, and test a customized disaster recovery plan that includes:
- Disaster declaration processes
- Plans for offsite storage
- Site failover scenarios
- System recovery procedures
- Data replication designs
- Identification of disaster recovery teams and roles
- Test Plans
- Audit Plans
Disaster Recovery Design Deliverables
Our engineers will evaluate your current practices and provide you with a set of BC/DR policies and procedures, plus a roadmap for implementing them as they pertain to your computer network.
If you require any hardware, software, or services to update your BC/DR plan, ASG will identify the most cost-effective methods for adding the new technology to your environment. In addition, ASG can provide a separate request for proposals (RFP) document, which you can use for soliciting bids for BC/DR hardware, software and/or services, if needed.
Other deliverables may include plans for continuous training and exercises, and processes to ensure the currency of the DR Plan—such as periodic reviews of the technology, processes, resources, and tools.
