Next week, ASG is sponsoring the Security Obstacle Course at the LayerOne Security Conference—the annual computer security conference in Los Angeles, California. This year, the event is scheduled May 26-28 at the Sheraton Gateway LAX.

This conference has something for everyone. There will be an impressive array of hands-on workshops, events, and contests—including the Security Obstacle Course contest, which will I’ll be running from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, May 27th in the Hardware Hacking Village.

Here’s a quick description from the LayerONE site:

Bring your ninja suits and leave your existing notions about datacenter security at home. In the spirit of LayerOne, we have put together a physical security obstacle course. You will learn about sensor technology, IoT issues, and get to run a real gantlet of live security sensors like a paid Red Team. Afterwards, you can debrief and learn how to secure your assets better.

With security breaches in the press as of late, the timing of this contest—and the show as a whole— couldn’t be better!

We hope to see you next week!
