BlogData Availability – A New Approach for the Cloud Era

About ASG - Feature 3

Come and hear ASG consulting engineer Todd Martin deliver a presentation at the Seattle IT Summit next Wednesday, September 21st at the Washington State Convention Center.

Demands on today’s enterprise has forced IT into a new reality where businesses must always be “on”, applications and data always available. The traditional processes for backup and data protection are not able to meet these new demands where RTOs are shrinking to zero. Cloud technologies are providing interesting options to meet the challenge. This discussion will focus on technologies and architectures that are making data availability meet the new reality.

With over 25 years of experience in the IT industry, Todd has spent nearly two decades working directly for top manufacturers such as IBM, NetApp, and Cisco. During the height of the collocation industry growth in the early 2000s, he worked at Exodus and LoudCloud. Today, Todd is a valued consulting engineer with ASG, where he focuses on architecting data center solutions for virtualized and converged systems.

Altogether, Todd holds a wealth of technical certifications from key industry vendors, including NetApp, Palo Alto, Hitachi Data Systems and F5. He also has extensive experience designing data center solutions—with particular regards to compute and storage architectures.

Todd’s presentation will be from 10:30 to 11am in the Executive Board Theater. We hope to see you there.
