During the backup assessment ASG's engineers will:
- Ensure your backups can be made within the alloted backup time window.
- Ensure all necessary data and applications are backed up.
- Ensure that unnecessary data is not backed up.
- Ensure that backup data can be efficiently and accurately restored.
- Establish backup performance benchmarks.
- Assist with resource allocation and utilization planning and performance.
- Identify backup infrastructure requirements and limitations.
- Identify backup single points of failure.
- Identify outdated software patches.
- Identify opportunities to extend the life span of your equipment.
- Identify new technologies that can benefit your backup infrastructure.
- Provide information to assist with planning and budgeting.
The initial (baseline) backup assessment is performed by ASG over a two to eight week period depending on Customer requirements. Follow-up assessments to determine backup changes (improvements or degradation) since the initial assessment are available as an option on a quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis.
