Cisco MDS 9140 40-Port Multilayer Fabric Switch

The Cisco MDS 9140 elevates the standard for Fibre Channel fabric switches, bringing Cisco Intelligent Storage Networking to small and medium scale SANs and Data Center edge applications. With 40 fixed Fibre Channel ports, the MDS 9140 provides the highest port density and the most enterprise class features in 1 RU of any fabric switch on the market today.

Cisco MDS 9134 Multilayer Fabric Switch

The Cisco MDS 9134 Multilayer Fabric Switch is a follow on to the Cisco MDS 9124 Multilayer Fabric Switch. The Cisco MDS 9134 can be used as the foundation of small standalone SANs, or as an edge switch in large core-edge SAN infrastructures. Additionally, the Cisco MDS 9134 can be stacked in pairs to form a 48-port or 64-port 4-Gbps Fibre Channel switch.The Cisco MDS 9134 is powered by Cisco 9000 SAN-OS Software and is fully compatible with the Cisco MDS 9500 Series directors and Cisco MDS 9200 and 9100 Series switches, providing transparent, end-to-end service delivery in large data center core-edge deployments.

Cisco MDS 9124 Multilayer Fabric Switch

The Cisco MDS 9124 24-Port Multilayer Fabric Switch features 24 ports that are capable of speeds of 4, 2, and 1 Gbps. It also offers outstanding value by providing a flexible, highly available, and secure solution that is both affordable and easy to use, all in a compact one rack-unit (1-RU) form factor. The Cisco MDS 9124 supports the same industry-leading MDS 9000 storage area network (SAN) OS software that is supported on the entire Cisco MDS 9000 family of products.

The Cisco MDS 9124 can be deployed with minimal configuration and does not require any special training to operate. The Quick Configuration Wizard simplifies and accelerates the initial fabric activation. It offers flexible, on-demand port activation; through software licensing, ports can be activated in 8-port increments. The default base switch has eight active ports.
